Okay ive been busy...

I finished my swap partners gift. I should have stuck with my orriginal idea... i had this 'brilliant' idea and in theory the idea was awesome... but when exscuted it sucked... but i was stuck with it... I hope she likes it... or lies really well. LOL.

I would be okay with both. fuck id be okay with ... nice attempt...


Right now i am working on a Dummy Clap. Its a really simple pattern that is a great stuff it in your purse and knit on the way pattern and the yarn from Stash i have for it really set my needles on fire in need to make it.

Its so green that i actually want to roll in it...

After this i really want to make a cowl with ZuZu's Petals in the ever awesome Springvale Bulky. Im a cowl whore. I swear if you look in my que on Ravelry its all just cowls and some mittens and a scarf or two and a hat.

Ima dork. 

Sunny Day....

Okay... Mass update...

So i failed my Ravelympic go... not even getting pass the damn ribbing. I kept doing the ribbing, only to look at it and realize i jacked it up, and would ripp it back then start again.... ah well.

I have to work on my "big project" for my alice in wonderland swap. The box is very full of nice little knicknacks here and there.... my swap person like three charicters, and i was trying to get all three.... and ended up getting very heavy on ONE charicter...

damn.

oh well... what i have in the box is very cool... i think my swap person will be pleased.

Its about 30 degrees and im gonna break out and clean up the sun room, and make it my craft room.

The sun room is full of my moms knick nacks and things that were hers. I dont have a room in the house thats 'mine' my husband has taken over the upstairs and made it a computer lab/guest room (or it will be) my son has his room. the basement is being turned into a gym.

Even in the old house i didnt have a room...

So in this cool room, there is plenty of room for my sewing machine, my spinning wheel, my knitting yarn... and my computer/writing. it opens up into the deck that has a flowering dogwood that covers the deck in the spring and summer.  that deck and the sunroom over looks the backyard and a small garden area at the side/front of the house.

I think to day is a great day to just declutter the room.

Light it

Flame has been lit, and Team Sheepnuts has taken off. i cast on to Thermis and watched the opening cerimonies on Twitter and on the Team Sheepnuts/Three Irish Girls KAL Group Chat on Ravelry.

Sheepnuts is an interesting colorway. its natural colors found on a sheeep so its always changing. I'm interested in how this is going to turn out.

I keep feeling like im going in circles. I've had to frog and knit, and re frog  these 20 rows.

But, i feel good about it so... thats different.

Swap news...

I have this box growing full of cool little swap items. I really cant wait to send it. I dont know how much i can say... I dont have pictures quiet yet.



OH MY GOD. Sharron showed off the March colors that are in Springvale Bulky.

Now, first of Springvale is what i knitted Water in. its SO soft, and its washable. This is the BEAUTIFUL Springvale Bulky in 3IG's Zuzu's Petal's.


Im going to make Burberry Inspired Cowl & Bella Mits with it.

Frozen Wonderland

So i got a car yesterday. I'd take pictures of it... but its covered in about 5 inches of snow.

Snomageddon '10 has hit my fair little hovel. I just measured, its like 4 inches, and its still coming down...

The car is a 2007 Honda CRV EXL. its light blue... and yes i name my car. I used to have a mini cooper named Flash.  I didnt get to choose the color, i wanted black.

Its okay, because as we were going home my SO mentioned it was alice dress blue. So i think it will be called "Wonderland" it fits because there are so many little gadgets and new fangled buttons on it, that it practically is Wonderland.

Olympics are in a few days, i need to swatch 'Sheepn...' so i can start on Thermis. I have the pattern already. i bought it a while ago for my husband, just never made it i think it will look nice with netrual colors.

Got my partner for Alice in Wonderland Swap. im excited, my swap person has some things in common with me so thats a awesome plus.

Washed Blocked Swap?

Water has been finished. YEA!!

I finished it just before the new year, but was unable to weave in the ends and block until i found/got a larger needle for it.

Now thats done and its washed and blocked. I still need to take pictures and because its due to snow in a few...

I joined Alice in Wonderland Swap. Im excited. lots of intresting things you can get at a swap. I hope i can do my swap person proud. i tend to fuck up swaps. i dont think i will this time. ive learned from my mistakes in the past what to do ... what not to do.
