So its been a while since I posted.
Im halfway through Water, and took a little break on it. Ill start back up on it today.
I had to order my sons winter jacket today, i ordered one in the begining of December because he had nothing really to protect him from the snow. It had yet to come in. So i quit the order and ordered a new jacket over on LandsEnd. Little "Aztec Gold" with black snow pants. I want him VISIBLE... hes quick as ever on his feet. and with snow and everything... the brighter the better.
It finally snowed last night, i cooked... grilled chicken, mashed potatoes and green beans. and chocolate chip cookies for dessert. This is amazing since i don't cook very often, if at all.
On the writing front, ive had a few plot bunnies that have kinda Blahed out mid way through... i think today im going to sit down and just write as much as i can listening to what ever comes over the itunes.

Go Ask Alice
So im in this apparent Hookah smoke filled Alice daze. With SyFy's Alice hitting the air, and some things in my Mad Hatter Hat im working on... im little 'in deep' as they say.
I ordered Alice from my favorite yarn shop Three Irish Girls in Springvale Super Merino a multi-ply washable merino. I LOVE the Bulky version that is the silvery, blue scarf "Water" ive been working on, and have been in love with the "Alice" colorway for a loooong time.
SSM tends to get take the dye in really brightly... so i really cant wait. I think im going to make Thermis in it, and find some Alice in Wonderland style buttons.

....this is not going to work.
So I took a step back and looked at this scarf... and i realized i was halfway through the first skein... and i wasn't going to have enough yarn.
I had used bulky yarn when the pattern asked for worsted... i just didn't take into account of Worsted yarn needs more stitches...
So i frogged it all and will start back with at least 24 less stitches... lets hope i can get it done for the holidays. I had started early because i know how i am.

Not Black... White?
Its Black Friday today, and im not going anywhere near a store.
Its a death wish. I already hate getting Mail, and stupid phone calls all the time. The last thing i want to do is go out and be a ping pong ball in the middle of Wal-mart.
So instead of Black Friday, I'm staying home, and noting of the first snow fall. Wasn't quiet ready for that. we were barely in sweatshirts the other day. Love how the season snaps into shape. Like it was on vacation, then saw it was Thanksgiving and went "OH!!"
This just means i need to snap too on my knitting. Im making a scarf that orrignally was a pair of mitts. Im working on Wainscott Ribbed Scarf a really simple K3P3 scarf in this Springvale Bulky that Three Irish Girls has out. SUPER SOFT, and washable. Perfict for guys... because you know for big strong guys, give them something warm like a hand knit scarf, and they become babies. "its too itchy, i got it dirty" ...
Im also working on a silk/merino blend version of the 5th Avenue Infinity Scarf that hopefully ill have done soon. /crosses fingers.
So, enought typing... knitting is to be done.
